It’s a New Year, 2009 is upon us and it’s The Gallery’s 15th year of doing what we love; rocking Friday nights with the biggest and best jocks from all over the world. To kick start another year of doing it bigger and better than the competition, on Friday 23rd January we start with our traditional Gallery Free Members Party to reward those hardcore, loyal members of the Gallery faithful who are so instrumental in doing what we do. And with a brand new facelift at Ministry of Sound since our epic NYE session with Above & Beyond and Danny Howells, their simply isn’t a hotter ticket in town!!
To fire 2009 off to the perfect start the ever welcome and legendary talent that is John 00 Fleming returns to headline proceedings. Anyone present at his last appearance on Halloween will testify John is one of the best at what he does. John has long been one of those DJs truly respected across the dance music world for his honesty, integrity and dare we say damn good taste in music. A true pioneer bringing his years of experience, unwavering support for good music and a real, refreshing passion for the best music to everything he does. Whether it be the White Label Euphoria CDs that broke the mould in compilations, his outspoken views on dance music (much of which everyone is thinking, but too afraid to say) or his relentless gig diary to all corners of the world he is a purveyor of the psy-trance sound. His recent Euphoria compilation has been a runaway success shooting up the charts the world over; prepare to be treated to a head down, arms in the air psy-experience unlike anything else out there, we implore you to check it out!! Joining him will be Marcel Woods who continues to be an anthem producing machine. Defining the recent tech trance explosion recent tracks have included ‘On Fire’ and ‘New Feeling’ as well previous bigguns such as ‘Advanced’ and ‘Cherry Blossom’ Sure to bring some big lead lines and massive drops to the proceedings Marcel has been a busy man over the Summer months including many appearances on the White Isle at Judgment Sunday as well as some of the biggest festivals around. M.I.K.E. is an ever welcome guest at The Gallery, a place we are proud he calls home. The production machine has been busy over the past 12 months with his ever impressive Club Elite record label as well as bevy of new productions both under his MIKE guise and the legendary Push and Plastic Boy. With some heavyweight support from Passion main man and resident JFK as well as Gallery residents Gavyn Mytchel and The Viceroy this is an ‘arms in the air’ Box guaranteed to do the business!!
The Bar meanwhile welcomes the proggier beats of wicked producer and DJ Luke Fair. Ever since his Balance CD we have been huge fans of Luke and its always a pleasure to welcome him to the superb surroundings of the Bar. With a whole host of new talent and tried and tested names to come; the Bar remains an ever important powerhouse in the Gallery machinery and we are proud to welcome some of the biggest and best names to it each and every week. Joining Luke will be Gallery resident and all round legend Steve Lee who rocked the Bar big time at the Xmas Party and indeed has rocked it on each and every one of his appearances. Tonight will be no exception and if this is indeed your first Gallery or you have never checked out Mr Lee then we seriously implore you to head to the Bar to see one of the true greats do his thing. Joined by rising star Linda Phoenix this is a right royal way to have it off 2009 style in the Bar.
