More: A few months back Kix announced a competition on the message board of one of the biggest websites in clubland. We knew the place was oozing with talent... and we weren't disappointed as we were hit with a barrage of CDs of a fantastic standard!

Opening an hour earlier than usual, at 8pm, Steve James will be getting us warmed up with some classic house guaranteed to get you in the mood.

Then it's time for the final... with the winner to join the ranks of the Kix resident DJs! And what a final it promises to be, with a range of music broader than the combined shoulders of the New Zealand rugby team! Kicking us off with a breaks set will be CEO of Crazy Thursdays, followed by some trancier sounds from Simon V. After that, it starts to toughen up as JT launches into the Hard Trance and Hard House sounds for the night, followed by Kirk Dixon who'll be stepping it up again with some harder, filthier tunes. Then just when you thought it couldn't get any more mental, DJ Explicit will round off the competition with a Hardcore set!

As if that wasn't enough, the dynamic pairing of Steve James & Daley take to the Cellar Bar decks once more to finish off the night in style... the lads are always well received when they get together, and have now played as a duo for clubs like Sundissential and Storm... and the week before Kix they are due to add a highly coveted set at the Tidy Weekender to their CVs!

Don't forget, it all starts an hour earlier than usual, at 8pm... and we have dropped the admission price for this event to a mere £3 for those of you arriving in time for the start of the competition at 9pm (using the downstairs entrance separate from the main Pink Punters club)... after that it's just £5 all night, and we'll be going all the way through to 4am as usual, with no dress code.
