After celebrating 3 successful years of Junktion last month, we've decided to give ourselves a bit of a challenge and are welcoming the Breakfish crew into the lions den on April 8th.
Friday 8th April welcomes London based breaks outfit, Breakfish as co-hosts at Junktion for what is no doubt going to be a hot and sweaty rag-rinsing battle between the two forces. We’ve decided to mash things up a bit this year and throw a spanner in the works. House or breaks? Either way, the Egg is on standby for one hell of a meltdown session.
In the Junktion ring we’ve got Dave Mothersoul, Neil Quigley, Marc Hasler and ressie Martin McNeill. McNeill will be rounding up the troops and getting you all in line for the eminent battle of bass and beats. For all those caught off guard, Mothersoul, Quigley and Hasler will prove their spinning talents for bashing out quality mixes and will throw you into the world of deep, dubby, twisted beats and mess with your head massive style!
While in Room 2, Breakfish will be fighting for supremacy and have pulled a line up together that is strictly the core! With Deekline reclaiming his title in 2004 as one of breaks most innovative and exciting prospects he’ll be firing the bullets from the top deck. Deekline had arguably one of the best remixes of last year with Armand Van Heldens ‘My My My’ as well as the remix of The Prodigy’s ‘Out of Space’. Botchit artists, Soto, march steadily onwards on their path of destruction and musical manslaughter together with Dirty Habit and Sanders coming up the rear! And of course no strategic attack could be complete without bringing in the young gun, the stealthily black cloaked general with the ultimate power, Steelo, will descend upon us in the early hours of the morning under the cover or smoke and darkness to set upon us, what can only be described as a heart stopping, pulp fiction moment that will frazzle your mind.
There will definitely be breakin’ in the house on 8th April! Warning: Do not plan to leave the same as you arrived.
