La Dolce Vita presents In:volved (Spectrum) party at new club Arcadia

Reported by Agnes Klos / Submitted 27-10-10 10:15

Walk the red carpet, dance to the latest international sounds and party in the midst of Ferraris, models, celebrities and premium party people until the early hours of the morning. A breathtaking, audio and visual feast awaits you through the doors. It is a motto that proudly stands behind the brand called La Dolce Vita. Agnes Klos talked to the promoter and DJ, Justin Hayward, to find out all the juicy insights before the event this Friday, 29th October, called In:volved (Spectrum) at a new club Arcadia.

Could you tell us what the name 'La Dolce Vita' stands for? What is the core idea behind it?

Our translation for the word means 'The Good Life'. This brand represents the sexy side of House music & is the corner stone of our event’s under the Pinpoint Music Group umbrella. We love to see woman and men who enjoy house music make an effort and dress for the occasion. Hence the name La Dolce Vita.

How has the entire process started? Who came up with the concept and how was it implemented in the real life?

The brand first started in Cape Town, South Africa and was mainly to service our South African celebrities and corporate client’s needs. I always wanted to create experiential events and not just a "party", which is the key to every production that gets rolled out. I turned to friends who enjoy electronic music, people we partied with every weekend at different events, for ideas and came up with our moto - PEOPLE : EXPERIENCE : MEMORIES. An experience where people don’t get lost but find themselves.

And please explain the connection between La Dolce Vita and Pinpoint Music Group.

Pinpoint Music Group is an umbrella company which is used to separate the different  division as we start to expand in the music industry. La Dolce Vita is dedicated to our House Music events and IN:VOLVED focuses on the Trance Music side of the business. Over the coming months we are rolling out the following division under PMG: Pinpoint Artist Management, Pinpoint Podcast & Pinpoint Recordings. These will play a vital roll in the direction our TEAM is heading in.

Who is the organisational brain of La Dolce Vita at the moment?

Myself and a very close knit team that believe in the brand and all enjoy the end result just as much as any of the party goers who are our friends. We all came together last summer for the Launch & have been working together ever since.

What is your role at La Dolce Vita and how did you get involved with the brand?

La Dolce Vita is where it all started for me. This was the 1st brand we took on board and has been the cornerstone of our events, I can honestly say it just happened over night. I have always been an Artist but building a successful brand just happened over a cup of coffee. REALLY !!

Which past events organised by La Dolce Vita are worth mentioning?

The Good Life - Now this was our Launch event and it was spectacular, the guests/party goers had an fantastic time and they came out in abundance. The Whitehouse was absolutely jam packed and for an opening night it was awesome!

The second event - Diamonds are forever was another very glamorous event with all the girls and the guys dressed to the nines!! Everyone made such an effort and once again it was a fablous event!

Ibiza Heat - This saw the revellers with flowers around there necks and the summer/ibiza party vibe had taken over, this was an awesome kick start to what was a fantastic summer, you just need to watch the video on our You tube page to see how much fun everyone was having and to hear the awesome tunes that were pumped out during the evening!

I think my favourites event besides the first couple were possibly the last two Driver parties. With a hats and glasses theme that saw everyone involved making an effort!!  and the Framed event which saw everyone diving into the big golden frame trying to get snapped up by non other than official LDV photographer and resident dj Mr Simon Pisani! Please check him out on facebook for pics aswell as the ldv page.

What can clubbers expect from events by La Dolce Vita?

They can expect to come to an event that is well thought out to the last detail, i.e Red Carpet, appropriate decor and great dj line up building the tunes throughout the night. An exciting and hyped atmosphere that is a safe environment to party in with friends who are all there for the same reasons, to enjoy the music with old friends and to make new friends, those random experiences that only happen on nights like these that create in essence what we are all after, creating memories that last a lifetime.

What type of an audience are you trying to reach?

Our parties are open to anyone. The type of crowd that usually attend are those that work hard during the week and want something to look forward to on the weekend. They like to get glammed up and make an effort and they know the camera's are going to be snapping away so everyone puts on there party faces and has an awesome time. They are there to let their hair done and party properly! Forget about the week and get engrossed in the music! Its a young (19 to 40+) crowd who all love good times!

Tell us more about the upcoming event called IN:VOLVED (Spectrum) at a new nightclub called Arcadia? What have you got in store for us?

This is the biggest event for us thus far and its one that we are putting all our energy into. We have created a brand and host parties that people love to come to and it was time to raise the bar and give our guests a little more. We have a competition to win a week in a ferrari and we are at a brand new venue which has just been refurbished and relaunched. The club is style and boasts spectacular lights and decor, a definite must for any avid party goer esp as we have teamed up with the I love my dj crew and underground house movement. We are all working really hard to produce an event that our guests will not forget in a long time!

La Dolce Vita is renowned for gathering a number of the finest artists, producers, live acts from across the world under one roof to bring clubbers a musical and social experience of a life time. What is your screening process and how do you recruit your team?

We are lucky in the way that our team are avid party goers and are very social. Always networking and meeting people, Dj's included at events. Naturally we talk about LDV, its always on the tips of our tongues and this has brought us many of our dj's who have played and still play and will play for us. If one of the team is out and hears someone that they think fits the cut they approach them speak to them get the ball rolling. We all take a listen to their production and if we agree they are good then they get a shot! So far so good, its working for us!

Could you name a few DJs and entertainers which are an absolute must-see?

Dan C and Renton who are playing B2B at 9pm, The Undercover Brother 3.30am to 5am, Simon Pisani at 5am and Seano and Josh Hanger B2B at 5am and of course the Headlining act Marc Vedo at 1.30am.

Which venues have you used in the past for your events and how do you decide which one is the right place for the given event?

Pacha, The White House & The Driver just to name a few. It’s all about location & we scout for then on a monthly basis.

Who designs your flyers?

Steven Moseley is the designer behind our brand. He understands our needs in every shape and form.

What have you got in store for the future? Any big surprises?

Lightbox, Broke London, Paramount.

Thank you for your time and see you on Friday.
